afterspike

The moment after.

AfterSpike is a glucose coach for your iPhone. It watches your curve, notices the spike or the dip, and asks one question: what did you do? Then it learns what brings you back into range.

iPhone, iOS 26 or later. Works with a directly connected sensor, with what your other apps write to Apple Health, or with readings you type in. Runs on your phone, stays on your phone.

The three screens

Today screen: above range for 12 hours, the coach asking what's your plan to bring it down, with chips for waiting it out, exercise, water, meds and insulin

Today

Your reading, the last twelve hours coloured by height, and the coach. A rise shaped like a meal gets "did you eat?". A high that sits gets "what's your plan?". Answer with a chip, and it times what you did until you are back. Insulin, medication, or neither: the coach asks in your tools.

Trends over 30 days: an average line with a lowest-to-highest band, coloured by height

Trends

The same curve from three hours to a year. Days and months are smoothed into one line with a band from your lowest to your highest, so one bad afternoon does not hide a steady week.

Stats: your week in plain words, 99 percent in range, and the time-in-range bar

Stats

Two weeks in plain words, then the numbers: time in range, your average, how much you swing, and a typical day folded from every day you have.

Privacy

Nothing leaves your phone.

There is no AfterSpike server. Readings stay on your iPhone and in Apple Health, the coach thinks with Apple's on-device model, and what you log syncs only to your own iCloud. No analytics, no trackers. Privacy policy

Beta

Try it before everyone else.

The beta runs through Apple's TestFlight: open the link on your iPhone, install TestFlight if you don't have it, and the app follows. You need iOS 26 or later. The coach uses Apple Intelligence when the phone supports it, and falls back to plain rules when it does not. Bring a sensor, an app that writes to Apple Health, or a meter and a minute to type.

AfterSpike is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. Keep your official reader, and use clinical guidance for treatment decisions.
